Decent Homes programme of work
Please look down the left hand column for your road name and then read across to see when work could be carried out inside or outside your home and the constructor who will be carrying out the work.
Wolverhampton Homes is working with three experienced partners to deliver this work – Thomas Vale, Frank Haslam Milan and Bullock Construction.
More about the programme
The Decent Homes programme has been agreed for 2007/08 but is subject to funding from 2008. The contractor for each area after 2008 will then be confirmed.
All homes will be surveyed to see what improvement work needs to be carried out.
Decent Homes is a Government target designed to update and improve homes to bring them up to a certain standard. If your property doesn’t meet the Decent Homes standard you could see a range of improvements.
Improvements you could see
Decent Homes internal work - you could have a new kitchen, bathroom, re-wiring, new doors, central heating as well as other improvements.
Decent Homes external work – you could have guttering, external insulation/cladding, roofing and painting, as well as other improvements to the outside of your home.
The Decent Homes works will take five years to complete from 2008 to 2012 and unfortunately not all properties can be updated at the same time.
The areas with the highest need will be carried out first focusing on homes that need the majority of work.
You may have different work carried out to your neighbour as some properties may only need some improvement work and others may not need any upgrading at all.
