Review Panel
Wolverhampton Homes believes that tenant involvement is essential in planning, delivering and improving all its services
The Review Panel has been set up to check that Wolverhampton Homes is keeping its promises to tenants. The Panel looks at how well Wolverhampton Homes is performing and ensures tenants are fully involved in decisions about services.
The Review Panel is made up of 12 full members (11 tenants and 1 leaseholder) and 4 shadow members. It meets at least every 3 months and makes recommendations directly to the Board. The Review Panel was set up in January 2010 and so far has looked at how Wolverhampton Homes can make it easier for tenants to move from homes that are bigger than they need. It has developed plans for improving tenant involvement opportunities and helped to develop the annual report to tenants.
Review Panel Meetings
Meetings of the whole Panel usually happen every two months, with smaller groups looking at specific parts of Wolverhampton Homes services meeting more often.
Full Panel meetings are generally open to tenants and leaseholders of Wolverhampton Homes by prior arrangement through the Review Panel Support Officer.
If you are a Wolverhampton Homes Tenant or Leaseholder and are interested in joining our Review Panel, please Contact Grant Sproston, Review Panel Support Officer, on 01902 551046 or email: ReviewPanel@wolverhamptonhomes.org.uk.
Panel Members
Alzie Logan
I see myself an ambassador for tenants. Having lived in my home for over 20 years, I want to help tenants like myself in getting to know more about Wolverhampton Homes and the services available.
Jackie Durnall
I want to help tenants have a voice and give them a better quality of life. By helping Wolverhampton Homes know what is happening at ground level, we are able to work together to make sure we provide the best service for everyone.
Saba Teckle
I saw this as a good opportunity to assess the services provided by Wolverhampton Homes and provide positive criticism to bring about improvement. As we are all tenants, we can really relate to any shortfall of services provided. I believe we are already making a difference.
Joy McLaren
I think it’s important to have a scrutiny board to make sure the right decisions are being made. I’ve really enjoyed my time so far. It’s great to meet other Wolverhampton people who are equally passionate about the local community.
Juliet Logan
I became a Panel member so that I could help other tenants who are not able to access information without support. I already have a much better understanding of how the organisation works and the services available.
Rachael Evans
I saw this as a unique opportunity to have a real influence. Already, I’ve achieved a great deal of satisfaction in knowing that my views have been listened to and changes have been made. I have felt empowered as a tenant.
Placide Tiako Engoue
I joined the Panel because I want to work hard for the community where I live and give back. I want to make life better and easier for tenants at home and in their surrounding environment.
Terence Whitmore
I'm interested in looking at the communications process and how Wolverhampton Homes uses customer feedback to recognise problems and stop them reoccurring.
David Higgins
I joined the Panel so I could act as an ambassador for fellow tenants and give them a voice. A key area of focus for me is repairs, particularly for central heating as I know lots of us had problems during the bad winter weather.
Chris Woolcock
As well as representing local tenants, I feel working on the panel will contribute to my professional development. I would like to contribute to the quality services of Wolverhampton Homes by listening to the tenants voice and sharing any concerns.
Julie Kendrick
For me, it’s a great opportunity to give something back. I have a good understanding of the problems faced by people in my local area of Scotlands. By passing on feedback, I hope to make small changes which will make a big difference.
Farisai Dzemwa
Being a member of the Review Panel not only gives me an opportunity to be a voice for other tenants but also gives me the chance to be a part of a group that helps nurture good relations between tenants and Wolverhampton Homes.
Harpinda Singh Sandhu
Joining the review panel for me has given me a chance to have my say. Now when I have an idea I can put it forward, whereas before I would just criticise they way things are being done.
Jean Shinton
After attending the Get Together meetings, there was no representation for Long Knowle,I hope I will be able to address this.
Alysha Shah
As a leaseholder on the panel I would like be an informative ambassador keeping leaseholders abreast of any prospective actions and services from Wolverhampton homes and city council enabling open communications and awareness to everyone of the roles played by each sector. This will empower leaseholders to be proactive in the service standards.
Cath Pearce
I want to help other people and see what can be done for the tenants and to let them know what's going on in there area and whatever is being done to their homes.
