Adaptations for the disabled

If you or any other person living with you is disabled and needs adaptations to your home to lead an independent life, please contact the Social Services department at the Community Equipment Services on phone 01902 553666 for advice.

If appropriate, a suitably qualified occupational therapist will visit your home to assess your needs.

Following your assessment we may be able to adapt your home to meet your needs or we may be asked to offer you a transfer to more suitable accommodation.  In some cases, financial help to pay for removal costs may be available.

We also have an action group of tenant/tenants representatives and officers to investigate the needs of disabled people.

For more information, contact the Tenant Participation Team.
