Mutual Council Home Exchange

If you are a Council or a Housing Association tenant you normally have the right to a mutual exchange. This means you can swap your home with another tenant provided your landlord agrees.

Only secure tenants may apply to mutually exchange.

You are able to place an advert for a mutual exchange in the reception area of your local Housing Office.

For further information on this service please contact your local housing office.
