Parking on estates
Inconsiderate parking on estates can often cause a nuisance to other residents and may also cause an obstruction to emergency vehicles such as ambulances, the fire brigade or the police.
We would like to remind our tenants and their visitors of the following:-
Ø You must not to leave your vehicle anywhere which is not designated for parking.
Ø You must not park a vehicle on the garden of your home.
Ø Only motor cars and motor bikes should be parked in designated parking areas. Caravans, boats, trailers or commercial vehicles must not be left in these areas.
Ø You must not park a vehicle on grassed areas or verges.
Ø Where allocated parking is provided, you must only park in the space allocated to your home.
Ø You must obtain written permission before you park a caravan or motor home in any area on your estate or at your home.
Ø You must not do carry out major repairs to a vehicle or park an un-roadworthy vehicle or one which may not legally be driven on the land around your home or on the road.
Garages
Garages and secure parking places are available on many estates. The cost of renting a garage is £3.14 for council tenants and leaseholders and £5.30 for non council tenants.
For any general enquiries about parking on estates, contact your estate manager at your local housing office.
