Warm Homes Discount
Six major energy suppliers are now offering a Warm Homes Discount to households and you may be eligible for an annual discount on your energy bill of up to £130!

N Power
If you are an npower customer then you may be eligible for an annual benefit of £120 on your electricity bill if you are in receipt of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) which includes a work related activity support component.
And also have any of the following:
- A disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
- A disabled child premium
- Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
- A child under five living with them

British Gas
The Warm Home Discount Scheme is open to low income customers living with long term illnesses and disabilities.
Existing customers on the Essentials tariff will remain on this tariff until British Gas contact them to register for the Warm Home Discount Scheme.

Scottish Power
If you are a Scottish Power customer you may be able to save money on the ‘Fresh Start’ tariff. To qualify for the discount you must be 60 years of age or over and in receipt of one of the following benefits:
- Attendance allowance
- Council tax benefit (not including single occupancy discount)
- Disability living allowance
- Disabled Persons Tax Allowance
- Child tax credit (where income is less than £15,460)
- Housing benefit
- Income-based JSA
- State pension credit
- Working tax credit (where household income is less than £15,592)
- War disablement pension (which either includes a mobility supplement or constant attendance allowance)
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (must also have a Constant Attendance Allowance)
