Join us at the annual City Jobs Fair - organised as part of the build up to the Wolverhampton Business Programme - will be held in the WV1 Suite at Molineux Stadium (WV1 4QR) on Friday 13th September, from 9.30am to 1pm.

More than 35 employers from across the City of Wolverhampton and the Black Country will be at the event to showcase the jobs available to city jobseekers.

They include Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust, Thomson AVC, Marston’s Plc, Willmott Dixon Interiors, Compton Care, West Midlands Police, Magna Specialist Confectioners, West Midlands Trains, Fostering for Wolverhampton and many more.

Attendees will also be able to find out about support and training on offer from organisations such as Wolverhampton Adult Education Service, City of Wolverhampton College, Connexions, Wolverhampton Learning Platform, Wolves at Work and Impact.

A new addition to the event this year is a series of short information sessions running throughout the day on CVs, interview skills, and being better off in work, where attendees will be signposted to organisations who can offer additional support.

The event is sponsored by Workbox - an initiative in the city to give residents information about jobs, training and support all in one place.

Wolverhampton Council's team of advisors, along with Jobcentre Plus, will also be on hand to offer advice and support.

Councillor Harman Banger, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, said:

We have an ambitious long-term plan to encourage enterprise, empower people, reinvigorate our city and improve the prosperity of businesses and residents - and this event supports that.

This is an excellent opportunity for residents looking for work or a change of career.

Over 35 local employers will be exhibiting and with a wide representation of job opportunities - both full time and part time - on offer this event is not to be missed.

We're optimistic about the future of the city. It is a great place to live, work, visit and do business.

Dez Grant, District Operations Leader at Department for Work and Pensions added:

The City Jobs Fair will be an excellent opportunity for jobseekers to find out about the job vacancies in the Wolverhampton area, both in established and new businesses.

It promises to be a fantastic event and I would encourage everyone who is being supported by the Jobcentre to come along.

The event is open to everyone. You can pre-register at www.wolvesworkbox.com to avoid the queues, or just turn up on the day.

The city’s annual business programme runs from Wednesday 18th September to Wednesday 2nd October and includes a range of free events, workshops and training to support business growth.
