Shaun Aldis has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive at Wolverhampton Homes. Shaun is currently director of operations at the ALMO, which manages almost 23,000 properties on behalf of City of Wolverhampton Council.

Shaun has worked as a senior manager with Wolverhampton Homes since its launch and his career spans both housing and asset management, having held both operational and senior management positions at housing organisations across the West Midlands. He also holds the position of chairman of the National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) and is a committee member of the Housing, Asset Management, Maintenance and Regeneration (HAMMAR) group.

He will take over the role from Lesley Roberts who announced, in August, her plans to retire after a decade of public service.

Sue Roberts MBE, chair of Wolverhampton Homes said:

I am delighted to announce that Shaun Aldis has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive. After a rigorous selection process, Shaun impressed us with his commitment to the organisation, its staff and stakeholders and we look forward to working with him as we take Wolverhampton Homes into a new era.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lesley Roberts for the fantastic job she has done for us over the last 10 years.

Shaun Aldis said:

I am looking forward to taking up this new role and being able to continue to work with our hardworking staff and colleagues at the Council as we look to improve the services we offer.

I am appreciative of the confidence shown in me by our Board and will work tirelessly with them to lead Wolverhampton Homes in the coming months and years.

Lesley Roberts, the retiring Chief Executive at Wolverhampton Homes said:

This is a great appointment by the Wolverhampton Homes Board and whilst I am sad to be leaving behind a great organisation, am pleased that I will hand over the baton to a trusted and valued colleague. Plans will be made over the next few weeks, for the transition of leadership.
