We appreciate that life can become lonely when you're housebound or less able to get out and about. Loneliness isn't in itself a mental health problem, but the two are closely linked. Loneliness can lead to anxiety and depression. We want to put a stop to loneliness in our communities.

We're pleased to offer tenants with disabilities and mobility issues the option of joining our Get Active scheme.

Nicole, our Get Active volunteer hosts an activity session on a Friday each week between 10:30am and 12:30pm, at Swanmore Community Centre

There, our tenants enjoy a morning of tea, cakes, arts and crafts. Most importantly, it's an opportunity for tenants to meet and socialise with other tenants.

The Get Active scheme has made such a difference to my life. I really look forward to it each and every week. The activities are great, but what I love the most is being able to socialise with other like-minded people. I feel I have made friends for life.
