Keeping you and your home safe is really important to us. That’s why, every five years, we need to carry out an electrical safety check in your home.

Why do I need this service?

We have a duty to make sure the mains electrics in your home are safe.

Our contractors are from Dodd Group and they carry out all the electrical checks for us. The service is completely free for tenants and may take a couple of hours to do.

Before we’re due to visit your home, Dodd Group will get in touch with you. They’ll give you a fixed appointment date with either a morning or afternoon slot. If you can’t make that date - you need to get in touch with Dodd Group to rearrange the appointment.

The Dodd Group engineers always carry ID which you should ask to see and they will never ask you to hand over any money.

**It’s really important that you let us in to do the work. It could be a breach of your tenancy if you don’t let us carry out the work so you risk losing your home. If, after we’ve made several attempts to get in touch with you, we still can’t get in, then we might apply for a County Court Injunction. This will give us the right to enter your home and disconnect your electric.
