New account for young savers
A new first savers account is now available to all Wolverhampton Homes’ tenants and leaseholders who open an account for their child or children aged up to 16 – thanks to a partnership with the Credit Union.
All you need is a £1 to open an account for a child to receive a Wolverhampton Homes ceramic money box. And as they save they can deposit their cash into their Credit Union account and watch their money grow. Wolf savings and loans are currently offering 3% dividends to members.
Heather Leary, financial inclusion and support manager from Wolverhampton Homes, said: “This is a brand new initiative for tenants and leaseholders and helps young people start to save at an early age.
“Join us and take advantage of this new saving scheme – the money boxes are extra special and will be an incentive for children and young people to save their pennies and pounds.”
For an application form please contact the money smart team on 01902 556789 or pop into the Wolf Savings and Loan (Credit Union) shop at 73 Worcester Street, Wolverhampton or telephone 01902 572340.
