Wolverhampton Homes is undertaking surveys of all its properties to make sure our residents’ homes are safe, secure and meet Decent Homes Standard.
This means as a tenant of one of our homes, you may receive a letter from Baily Garner, Pennington Choices or Ark Consultants, which are the three companies carrying out the surveys on behalf of Wolverhampton Homes.
This is important work and we urge customers not to ignore this letter.
Thank you to those customers who have already allowed the surveyors to complete the work.
Please see the information below about the survey.
The surveyor will complete a visual inspection of your property's interior and exterior to assess the age, condition, and safety of building components, such as the roof, boiler, kitchen and bathroom, to ensure they are compliant. It also helps us to plan for any future maintenance work.
The survey should take between 35 and 40 minutes.
We use the information to demonstrate that we are meeting government guidelines, such as the Decent Homes Standard.
Where any issues are identified, we will use the surveyor’s findings to raise repairs to rectify them.
The information we get from these surveys also enables us to schedule major upgrades, such as new kitchens and bathrooms.
We also need to undertake a range of servicing and testing programmes to ensure the equipment installed in your home continues to be safe, such as gas servicing and electrical testing programmes.
We are committed to keeping you safe and secure - it is why it is important you allow access to our contractors for this type of work.
When you receive your letter about your stock condition survey, please contact the named organisation on your letter to book your appointment.
When the surveyor comes to your home, they will have an ID badge to say they are from the company carrying out the survey.
If you are unsure, please telephone Wolverhampton Homes on 01902 556789 and the team will check if the person is representing WH.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or want to ask any questions about the stock condition survey.
