Colleagues represent Wolverhampton Homes at Pride

1A

On Saturday 8 June, dozens of Wolverhampton Homes colleagues represented us at Wolverhampton Pride 2024, running our stall and taking part in the parade.

Thousands of people took to the streets to celebrate, with hundreds of LGBT+ people and allies taking part in the colourful parade. Following this, acts, including headliners Denise Van Outen and Duncan James, took to the main stage in Old Market Square.

Julie Haydon, our Director of Corporate Services, said:

“Equality, diversity, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do here at Wolverhampton Homes, and we want everyone to be able to bring their whole selves into everything they do. That’s why supporting Pride is important to us.

“Over forty colleagues took part on the day, and many more got involved on the run-up by sharing their stories of what Pride means to them, featuring in our social media posts, and being a part of our working group.

“A huge thank you to all of you, and to the City of Wolverhampton Council for organising a fabulous event.”
