We are supporting the national campaign, #BigEnergySavingWeek, starting on Monday 20 January 2020. The campaign sets out to help people cut their fuel bills and gain the financial support they are entitled to.
To mark the occasion, we are holding an Energy Advice Surgery. Drop in and we can help you:
- find the right energy-saving actions for you
- use our energy price comparison tool to see if you can save money by switching energy tariff or supplier
- with financial advice on any debt and benefits
Where: Hope Community Project, 40 Ling House, Long Ley, Heath Town, Wolverhampton, WV10 0HH
When: Wednesday 22 January 2020, 10am to 3.00pm
Our Energy Wise Team, uSwitch and Severn Trent Water will be on hand to raise awareness of how simple changes, accessing discounts or grants, and making homes more energy efficient can make a big difference.
The campaign itself, Big Energy Saving Week, focuses on raising public awareness of how to switch energy supplier to get the best deal, access discounts and make homes energy efficient. This is the 8th Big Energy Saving Week and is a partnership between Citizens Advice, the Energy Saving Trust and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with the support of numerous organisations, charities and companies.
If you have mobility issues, childcare problems or other health issues and can't come to the Energy Advice Surgeries, we can come to you.
The visits are also useful so we can survey your home and check whether it is cold and damp. Our Home Energy Advisor can then give you tailored and focussed energy efficiency advice and give you a demonstration of how to use your own equipment.
