You’ll experience work with different teams and departments within Wolverhampton Homes (or one of our partners in the city) and develop an understanding of different types of roles and the skills which are important for each. For example:

• customer service
• administration
• data analysis
• communications and marketing
• human resources

The programme will see you gaining hands-on experience which will allow you to apply your newly acquired skills, develop confidence, and make meaningful contributions.

In your three classroom-based days, you will spend time with the Early Careers Coach and team. They’ll support you with identifying your skills and CV writing, finding and applying for jobs, mock interviews with feedback and other one-to-one advice and guidance.

Shaun's story

On completion of REACH, you’ll have an up-to-date CV ready to use. Our Early Careers Coach will have given you advice and tips on how to search and apply for jobs. You’ll have completed at least one mock interview, so you’ll know what to expect and understand what employers are looking for from the interview process.

You’ll receive a completion certificate and can quote Wolverhampton Homes as a reference on future job applications. We’ll be able to confirm you attended, were reliable and punctual and participated fully in the course, to provide assurance to an employer and give you the best chance of success with the jobs you apply for.

REACH is only open to job seekers who can answer 'yes' to all of the following:

• I am aged 18-24
• I live in Wolverhampton
• I am unemployed, in adult education or on a zero hours contract
