We have invested in four life-saving bleed control kits through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, making them accessible to the community when every second counts.
The wall-mounted kits have been installed in prominent positions outside our:
- Merry Hill office, Leasowes Drive
- Wednesfield office, Woodhouse Fold, opposite car park A
- Stowlawn Concierge Management Centre, Parkview Road, Bilston, next to Hugh Gaitskell Court
The fourth kit will be installed in Heath Town.
All have been registered with West Midlands Ambulance Service and can be used by any member of the public in an emergency.
Each kit contains essential medical supplies, including trauma dressings, a tourniquet and gauze, which are designed to be used by people with no medical training to manage a variety of injuries that result in catastrophic bleeding.
As a provider of social housing we are more than just bricks and mortar. We recognise that helping to create thriving communities is a huge part of our role.
CSR is about how we give something back to our communities, how we play our part in tackling the challenges some of our communities face and working with our partners, contractors and supply chain to help create positive sustainable change.
Each kit bought included a donation to The Daniel Baird Foundation, a registered charity that was established in memory of Daniel Baird.
