Try the new budget planner in the My Account customer app

A computer shows the front page of the My Account customer app

As part of our commitment to delivering continual service improvements, My Account, our award-winning customer app, has launched a handy budgeting tool.

The free-to-use budget planner, launched to coincide with Debt Awareness Week, is a simple way for you to review your monthly income and outgoings and see if there are any areas to make any savings or cut costs.

For the tool to be as useful as possible for you, you should provide accurate information. It is a good idea to have the following to hand before you start:

  • pay slips, if you work
  • pension information, if you receive pension
  • benefits information, if you receive any benefits
  • bank statements
  • bills
  • receipts for regular items you pay cash for

When you have uploaded all your information, click on ‘summary’ and an easy-to-understand pie chart will show you what your income and outgoings look like

If you need support with budgeting or money advice, our Money Smart team offers confidential advice and guidance and can put you in touch with a range of support services.

Please note: Wolverhampton Homes will not have access this information – it is completely confidential to you.

  • Debt Awareness Week aims to break the stigma around financial difficulties and encourages people who need support to come forward. Today (Monday 16 March) we are posting a short webinar on our Facebook page at about 12.45pm today when the Money Smart team will discuss how it can support customers with money worries, while the My Account team will talk about the new budget planned. This will be followed by a live Q&A in the webinar comments section at 1pm – 1.30pm, where customers can chat to our Money Smart and My Account teams.
