Our Aids and Adaptations Services team can help older or disabled tenants remain independent at home for as long as possible.

How We Can Help

We can make your home easier to live in by fitting suitable adaptations in your home (for example, stair lifts, ramps, handrails, steps or showering facilities) and answering any questions you may have about existing adaptations to your home or those ready to be fitted.

We will talk to you and support you before and during all work that needs to be done and provide aftercare when the work has finished.

How to Apply

You’ll need to have an assessment from Wolverhampton City Council Independent Living Services
to arrange this call 01902 553666.

They will need to know your details to assess what kind of help you need. If you need an aid, for example a shower seat, Independent Living Services will be able to provide you with this. If you require an adaptation to your home, the occupational therapy service will assess your needs in your home.

Once they have completed their assessment and recommended a home adaptation, we will arrange for the work to be done.
