Mould growth can be incorrectly assumed to be a sign of damp. However, black mould is usually caused by condensation.
This can come from everyday activities such as cooking, washing, drying clothes indoors, poor heating and even boiling a kettle. This video from the National Landlords' Association has lots of helpful tips and advice on how you can prevent condensation in your home.
