Our offices close for Christmas today at 4:30pm. We open again on Tuesday 28th December for a couple of days. We're then closed again from Saturday 30th December up until Tuesday 2nd January 2018, when we resume normal service.

The Prime Minister, Theresa May, announced in August that Housing and Planning Minister Alok Sharma would be holding events and workshops up and down the country to hear from social housing tenants about what matters most to them. 

Wolverhampton Homes is once again pledging its support to National Energy Action's "Warm Homes Campaign" with a series of energy advice drop-in sessions over the months of January and February.

On the 13th December 2017, Universal Credit was extended to couples and families making a new claim. At the moment, it has only been rolled out to people living in postcodes WV1, WV2, WV3, WV4, WV8, WV9, WV10 9 and WV14. Christmas is a period for spending time with loved ones, eating lots of festive food and of course, exchanging gifts. Sadly, thieves know this and take advantage of the festive period by targeting people for their presents.

We were honoured recently to be shortlisted in the Personnel Today Awards 2017, which recognises the very best in human resources, employment, skills, learning and development. We were up for Youth Employment Initiative of the Year, which acknowledges the challenges faced by many young people entering the workplace. The judges were looking to see how nominees attracted young talent that may have otherwise gone untapped and how that talent has been harnessed to better local communities.
