Fire safety

We want to make sure your home is as safe as possible from fire.

We are committed to making sure our fire safety principle works for everyone and have put together some top tips to help protect your home from fire, as well as important advice on what to do in the event of an emergency.

Our fire safety principle:

  • If you have a fire, would you know about it?
  • When your fire alarm sounds, are you able to escape to a safe place?

What to do if there is a fire

  1. Get out
  2. Stay out
  3. Call 999 or 112

All Wolverhampton Homes buildings that are seven storeys and over are registered with the Building Safety Regulator.

Our Fire Safety team is contacting customers in flats to ensure we know about any vulnerabilities that might impact you in the event of fire.

You can also get in touch with us if you think we need to know about your circumstances – even if it is temporary, such as having a broken leg or hip.

We work closely with West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) who offer  free safe and well visits. Find out more below.
